Darlington moved to within eight points of the play-off places with a 2-1 win at Bristol Rovers.
The North East outfit made the long trip to the West Country and they were rewarded with victory thanks to goals from Gregg Blundell and Michael Cummins.
Blundell set the ball rolling on seven minutes when his drive from the edge of the box squirmed through the grasp of Steve Phillips and over the line.
The visitors were indebted to keeper Lee Jones who made a number of fine saves to thwart Rovers and his efforts were rewarded when Cummins netted from a tight angle with 20 minutes remaining.
Craig Disley set up a grandstand finish when firing home for the home side on 89 minutes, but The Quakers held firm to claim the points.
The defeat is a setback to Rovers who have designs on claiming a play-off place themselves.
