Abbot lauds bittersweet draw

Carlisle boss Greg Abbott is frustrated with their 2-2 draw to Brentford but consoled by the quality in the thrilling encounter.

The Cumbrians suffered an early setback when Bees striker David Clarkson, on loan from Bristol City, struck in the ninth minute before James Berrett levelled in the 23rd minute. Clarkson turned from hero to villain after the break when he put the ball into his own net but Toumani Diagouraga grabbed the equalising goal with just two minutes left on the clock. Abbott said: "That was a fantastic game - one of the best football matches I've seen in terms of quality and spirit since I have been a manager. "We are so disappointed at the outcome but so pleased with our contribution to a great game. "If we can play like that throughout the season we will be more than fine. The only grumble is that we haven't got three points."
