Millwall striker Jermaine Easter has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent.

The 32-year-old is free to find a new club after finding his chances limited under Lions boss Ian Holloway.

Easter told the club website: "I would like to wish everyone at Millwall the very best for the remainder of the season and hopefully they can retain their Championship status.

"The manager is trying to bring new faces in to help achieve that goal, so I fully understand the situation. I would like to thank him, the staff, players and the fans who have been very good to me throughout my time at The Den.

"I have some fond memories, particularly of my 'second debut' goal at Charlton, the late equaliser against QPR, the one I scored against Wigan and even my final goal for the club at Norwich in spite of the result, because it was my 100th senior goal."
