Notts County will hold talks with Peterborough United player-coach Andy Legg.Notts County have been given permission to hold talks with Peterborough United player-coach Andy Legg regarding their managerial vacancy.
The former Notts County player was allowed to speak with The Magpies by Posh boss Barry Fry following the sacking of Gary Mills from the Meadow Lane post last week.
The former Cardiff City stopper has been on the London Road transfer list after suffering abuse at the hands of Peterborough supporters.
Last month, Legg failed to agree personal terms over a possible move to League One rivals Oldham Athletic.
Despite being a regular in Fry's first team squad this season, Legg is sure to see the Notts County job as a chance to move his way into football management after making more than 100 appearances for The Magpies in the mid-1990s.
The former Wales international is due to speak with the East Midlands outfit this week.
Meanwhile, Fry has revealed he will be without midfielder Danny Sonner for Saturday's FA Cup first round clash against Tranmere Rovers due to an Achilles problem.
