Peterborough United boss Barry Fry has turned down two offers for striker Clive Platt.Peterborough United boss Barry Fry has revealed that he has turned down offers for striker Clive Platt.
The London Road chief claims to have rebuffed 'substantial bids' from two League One rivals for the former Walsall, Rochdale and Notts County hit-man.
"I have turned down a substantial bid from a fellow League One club on Friday for Clive Platt," Fry told the club's official website.
"I spoke to Clive about it on Friday night and I have since received another bid from a different League One club on Tuesday. I told Clive about his bid too."
Fry's admission comes after the striker was involved in a half time tunnel bust-up with Bristol City centre back Tony Butler on New Year's Day, with The Football Association awaiting the referee's report on the incident.
Meanwhile, defender Simon Rea is in talks with Cambridge United with a view to joining the League Two strugglers on loan while youngster Bradley Thomas has joined Weymouth on a month's loan.
Darren Caskey has left The Posh after his month-long contract expired this week.
The much-travelled midfielder made just two starts during his brief spell with the club.
