Alan Parry says the only bid for Jermaine Easter has come from Romania.
Alan Parry has revealed that the only team to have lodged a bid for Jermaine Easter are from Romania.
Easter's efforts for Wycombe in League Two and the Carling Cup this term have caught the eye of many clubs and he has been linked with a January move further up the football pyramid.
Parry, a director at Adams Park, admits Premiership clubs have been looking at Easter but claims the only bid has come in from Romania.
"There has been a lot of speculation, but I can assure you there have not been any official offers apart from, would you believe, one of the top clubs in Romania," Parry told Sky Sports News.
"Quite how they came to get a handle on Jermaine Easter's successes this season I don't know, but obviously Jermaine did not fancy that particular move."
Although admitting that Easter is likely to move on at some stage, Parry says the forward is eager to help The Chairboys in their battle for promotion.
"He is happy at Wycombe, he has got 18 months left on his contract and does not want to go immediately," added Parry.
"He wants to enjoy the rest of this season and the priority is to get promotion from League Two.
"Obviously if you get 20 goals at this stage of the season you are going to attract attention from bigger clubs, a lot of the Premiership clubs have been watching and I know Wales have been watching Jermaine, so it is inevitable.
"But at the moment he is a Wycombe player."
