Williamson undergoes op

Wycombe Wanderers' Mike Williamson has undergone a knee operation.

Wycombe Wanderers' Mike Williamson has undergone a knee operation with a view to being fully fit for the start of next season.

Williamson suffered knee ligament damage in February's 3-2 away defeat to Mansfield and has been out of action since.

The defender has now undergone surgery and Wycombe boss Paul Lambert (pictured) is looking forward to having him and Will Antwi back next term.

"Mike's in good hands here so we look forward to having him back in training as soon as possible," Lambert told the club's official website.

"He was a massive player for us this season and has been a big loss. Hopefully it won't be too long before him and Will are both back up and running again."
