Addicks take Ephraim on loan

Queens Park Rangers have loaned Hogan Ephraim to League One pacesetters Charlton Athletic on a short-term deal.

The 25-year-old made a substitute appearance for Rangers in their 1-0 Premier League victory at Everton in August and he also started in the shock Carling Cup home defeat by Rochdale three days later. However he missed out on a place in Neil Warnock's 25-man Premier League squad following the arrival of several new signings at Loftus Road before the close of the transfer window. Addicks manager Chris Powell told the club's official website: "Hogan's a Premier League quality player who was a mainstay of QPR's Championship-winning team last year. "He's found his chances limited this year but I feel he will add to what we have in our squad. He's a positive player on the ball and also chips in with a few goals. "We will make sure we get some good training into him and get him to know his way around the place and become familiar with the players. I think once he is there, it will be a good signing for us." Ephraim will remain at the Valley until January 3 and could make his Addicks debut at Brentford on Saturday.
