Ainsworth impressed with Oli

Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth believes Dennis Oli's display against Rochdale was a taste of what is to come from the forward.

The 28-year-old's start at Adams Park was just his sixth appearance of the season having missed two months of football due to an ankle injury and he'll only get better according to his manager. Ainsworth told the Bucks Free Press: "Dennis Oli would agree with me that he started slow. He's not fully fit yet, he's missed a lot of games over the last couple of seasons but he's one that's going to work hard to get up to match fitness so he can start games really well. "I thought Dennis played a big part second half. He seemed to be a thorn in Rochdale's side. In the end a lot came through him - he had a big part to play in the goal as well." Meanwhile Wycombe's Marvin McCoy came through his first training session for three months on Monday having recovered from an ankle ligament injury he suffered in August.
