Ainsworth curses blunt Blues

Image: Gareth Ainsworth: We lack cutting edge

Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth admits his side lack a killer touch as they went down 2-0 to Rochdale.

The Chairboys have not won in four games and face two more of the top five in their next two games. This defeat saw them slip to fourth bottom, just three points off the drop zone. "They stuck it in the back of the net and we didn't," he said. "That's very important. We created a lot of chances and I thought we had maybe 13 or 14 corners, we hit the post and had a couple cleared. "But Rochdale, who had fewer chances than I us, stuck their chances away and that wins games and that's why they're top. "We have to work on that and will do so before going again on Tuesday. If we do that we'll be fine. I've been saying that all along. "Our performances have been good, it's just that final thing of scoring goals. "We've got some tough games coming up at Burton and Scunthorpe but we've been good on the road this year and I'm hopeful of bringing some points back to Adams Park. "Matt Ingram made some tremendous saves and we didn't really test their keeper. We've fired a couple right at him but not much more."
