Notts County have announced they are no longer under a transfer embargo after paying off debts to football creditors.

The club confirmed last month that they had been placed under an embargo by the Football League due to unpaid bills.

"I'm pleased to inform fans that outstanding payments to football creditors were made by the club last week," chief executive officer Jason Turner told the club's official website.

"This means we are no longer restricted by the temporary transfer embargo imposed upon us and we are once again able to be active in the transfer market."

The Magpies, who settled an outstanding debt to HM Revenue & Customs in April, have been up for sale since March when owner Ray Trew announced he was stepping down as chairman.
