Nottingham businessman Alan Hardy says he has completed his takeover of Notts County.
That process has now been completed, according to Hardy, whose first task will be to appoint a new permanent manager to the Sky Bet League Two strugglers.
John Sheridan lost his job on January 2 after a dreadful run of results that has seen County slump to 22nd in the table.
Former England international Alan Smith has taken over as manager on an interim basis but was unable to prevent the Magpies slumping to their 10th consecutive league defeat as they were thrashed 4-1 at Morecambe on Saturday.
"Finally got there guys, thank you for all your tremendous support!" Hardy tweeted.
"Now let's get this club back where it belongs! New World starts today!"
Ray Trew put the club up for sale last February after his family suffered what he has described as "foul and mindless abuse" from some supporters.
