Notts County's future will be without Shane McFaul and Saul Deeney.Shane McFaul's contract with Notts County has been terminated while Saul Deeney is set to leave Meadow Lane.
McFaul, who was yet to make a first-team appearance this season, has been allowed to leave to find first-team football elsewhere.
"Shane found it difficult to make his way into the team, so we came to an agreement to let him go," said manager Gudjon Thordarson to the club's official website.
"I have always said I will not stand in the way of players leaving to go and get football elsewhere if they can't get it here, and I wish Shane all the best for the future."
Meanwhile, The Magpies have lost patience with keeper Deeney and decided not to renew his rolling contract.
"The club has given Saul his two weeks' notice," Thordarson added. "It has taken a while to sort this out.
"I have never known a situation like it, certainly not where I have been before. It has dragged on far too long, so it is pleasing a final decision has been made on things."
