Manager Davey keen to agree new deal with winger

Barnsley manager Simon Davey has confirmed the club are to hold talks with winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce over a new contract. Skysports.com revealed in June that the Tykes are keen to tie the 26-year-old down on fresh terms. Campbell-Ryce - who was the subject of a bid from Reading in January - is currently away with Jamaica at the CONCACAF Gold Cup and Davey is planning to sit down with him on his return. "Because of clauses in his contract we need to sit down with him," said Davey. "We promised to talk about his contract so that is what we are going to do. "We have had no contact from any clubs though the close season for Jamal. "There was all the interest in January, but nothing happened at all in the last month to six weeks."
