Nottingham Forest signing Bouchalakis struck twice as Mark Warburton made a winning return to Brentford, beating his old club 4-3 in a thriller.
In the same division, Birmingham City came from behind to beat Bristol City 2-1 at St Andrew's, with Maghoma's goal the difference.
Further down the football pyramid, Wycombe forward Paris Cowan-Hall scored one of two superb goals at Vale Park, with Ben Whitfield scoring the other for the home side.
