Bees won't rush Kabba back

Barnet have yet to put a timescale on Steve Kabba's return from injury but are confident he is progressing well.

The striker, 29, was felled by a reckless challenge from Chesterfield's Craig Davies on the opening day of the season and required lengthy treatment before being stretchered off amid fears he had a broken leg. However, tests showed he had actually suffered ligament damage and is now on the mend, although the Bees do not want to rush him back. "Steve was able to get back to light running the following week as we began a rehabilitation programme for him," said physio Simon Murphy. "The up-to-date word is he is progressing as expected. "There is no forecast as to how long he will be out - we have brought in Phil Walsh as a replacement up front for a month - and we will guard against him returning too quickly."
