Clyde Wijnhard is training with Chester City as he looks to earn a permanent stay with the League Two outfit.
The Dutch striker is on the lookout for a new club having failed to win a return to his homeland in the summer, as a series of trials failed to bear fruit.
Wijnhard has proven an accomplished performer since moving to England to join Leeds from Ajax, with spells at Huddersfield, Preston, Oldham and Darlington all seeing the powerful front man score goals.
The 32-year-old was last seen plying his trade with Macclesfield last term, with 12 goals in 25 appearances testimony to his efforts.
Chester boss Mark Wright is ready to take a look at the player over the next few days, as he looks to garner whether the hit-man is worthy of a permanent contract.
"Clyde is a proven goalscorer who has an excellent goals-per-game ratio," he told the club's official website.
"We knew he was available so we will have a look at him in training and obviously he will have a look at us."
