Man Utd youngster keen to play first-team football

Oldham Athletic have bolstered their squad with the signing of Manchester United youngster Reece Brown on a month's loan. Brown has yet to make a first-team appearance for United, but featured twice on loan at Championship strugglers Doncaster earlier in the season. The midfielder has previously had a stint at Bradford City and is in line to make his Oldham debut against League One promotion challengers Sheffield United on Saturday. The England Under 20 international has endured an injury-hit campaign and is looking forward to the prospect of playing first-team football. "I have had previous loan spells at Bradford City and Doncaster Rovers, and they are all part of the learning curve," Brown told the club's official website. "I have reached the age when I need to be playing first-team games. It has been a frustrating season as I have only played six matches because of hamstring and hernia injuries. "It is a privilege to play here, to help the team and learn from playing proper men's football against players who are bigger and quicker."
