Accrington boss John Coleman hopes a month's rest will cure Rommy Boco's back problem.
Accrington manager John Coleman is hopeful a month's rest will be enough to cure Rommy Boco's back problem.
The 21-year-old Benin international has been struggling with the problem for several weeks but following a scan he has gone to France to recuperate and Coleman admits a few weeks' rest is better than the alternative option.
"If he carried on playing, he could end up with a stress fracture in his back that would keep him out for maybe 12 months," Coleman said.
"We're just trying to protect him and we're hoping that the rest will do him good."
Coleman will learn more about Andy Proctor's shoulder problem and Julian N'Da's knee injury later in the week.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper coach Andy Dibble has left the Fraser Eagle Stadium to join Championship outfit Coventry.
