Steve Evans has revealed he rejected two bids for David Noble.
Boston manager Steve Evans has revealed that he faced a tough '11th hour' fight to hang onto ace midfielder David Noble.
The transfer deadline for the Football League has just passed and Evans admits that he had to turn down two offers on the final day.
"David is an exciting young midfielder and he has been in excellent form," Evans said.
"He has attracted a lot of interest this season, and we turned down two offers for him on transfer deadline day."
Having managed to hold onto the former West Ham man, Evans will now be hoping that Noble can find a quick return to fitness to bolster the remainder of Boston's season.
"I would say it's 70-30 against David being fit for Saturday's game (against Cheltenham)," Evans added. "Which is a huge blow for us."
