No let-up for Torquay boss

Image: Alan Knill: Wants more of the same

Torquay manager Alan Knill says his side need to match the passion they've shown in recent matches during the run-in.

The Gulls are five points clear of the League Two relegation zone after taking eight points from their last four games, the most recent coming against fellow strugglers York on Saturday. "If we are committed, if we are passionate, as we have been recently, we can compete with anybody in this league," Knill told the Western Morning News. "If we show more of that over the last few games, I'm confident that we'll get the points we need. But if we step off it, and start to think we're better than we are, it will make things difficult." Meanwhile, Knill continues to search for a striker to boost his squad before the loan window closes. "Trying to take someone on loan for only six games maximum makes it that bit more difficult, but we're still working at it," he added.
