Kilmarnock manager Lee Clark has called on his players to take full advantage of the chance to drag Partick Thistle back into the relegation mix.
Thistle came within one goal of reaching the top six but were unable to grab an equaliser against Ross County, and have since failed to guarantee their safety.
Subsequent home defeats against Dundee and Inverness, who won 4-1 at Firhill, have now given Killie the chance to move within three points of Alan Archibald's side when they meet at Rugby Park on Saturday.
Clark said: "It's probably been a tough few days for them because one thing that has been impressive with them is the lack of goals they concede. They have been really strong defensively over the season. So to concede four is something a bit unique.
"They are coming into the game knowing that if they were to lose they are only three points ahead of us.
"They had aspirations of getting into the top six, so it's how Alan gets his players to react. I don't know how he approaches it, that is obviously Alan's business. He has got a good group of players, they have obviously just hit an indifferent patch with results.
"We have got to try and capitalise on that. We know it's not going to be easy, they have a good group there, but we have got to make it count in our favour."
Killie kept up their hopes alive of avoiding a play-off with a 4-0 win at Hamilton last weekend and Clark is demanding a similar display.
"The confidence levels have got to be high after the result and performance," he said. "I have got to make sure that we are not over-confident, that we approach the game in the right way on Saturday."
