Leigh Griffiths returns to the Celtic squad for the visit of Kilmarnock on Saturday after missing the last four games with hamstring and calf injuries.

Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers insists he feels no pressure to put the Scotland striker straight back into his starting line-up, with Moussa Dembele having already scored eight goals this season since joining from Fulham.

But he will be keen for his side to maintain their positive start to the Scottish Premiership season, which saw them win their first five matches before being held to a 2-2 draw at Inverness in their last league outing.

Kilmarnock go into the game at Celtic Park on the back of three successive draws in the top-flight and they will be without captain Steven Smith.

The former Rangers left-back will be out for three to four weeks after undergoing an ankle operation but Greg Taylor returns after suspension.

Forward Nathan Tyson is also in contention for a start after coming on as a substitute against Partick Thistle last week.

Greg Kiltie (hamstring), Miles Addison (ankle) and Dapo Kayode (knock) could be back for the Aberdeen game next week but the trip to Glasgow comes too early for them.
