Celtic have appointed retail expert Sharon Brown as the first female director in their history.
The 48-year-old's other current directorships include McColl's Retail Group, and she has worked with the likes of John Menzies and Dobbie's Garden Centres in the past.
Chairman Ian Bankier said: "I am delighted to welcome Sharon to the board of Celtic.
"Sharon brings a wealth of expertise and business acumen, especially from the retail sector, which will further enhance the skill-set of the board."
A survey in the summer showed only three of the 70 directors of Ladbrokes Premiership clubs were women - Hearts chairwoman Ann Budge, Motherwell's Leanne Thomas and Jacqui Low at Partick Thistle.
Championship leaders Hibernian have two women on their board including chief executive Leeann Dempster.
