Former Inverness fans' favourite Billy McKay has returned to the club on loan as manager Richie Foran has been busy trying to bolster his squad.

McKay returns to the Highlands two years after he left the club for Wigan, where he will be joined by Celtic defender Jamie McCart, both players agreeing loan deals until the end of the season.

It did not work out for McKay in the north-west of England and he was with Dundee United on loan last season before spending the first part of this season with Oldham Athletic.

McCart made his competitive debut for Celtic as a substitute against Motherwell in a League Cup tie in August. He is the son of former Motherwell defender Chris McCart, who is now the Head of Celtic's Youth Academy.
