New Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha told his side to "play like kids" in his first game in charge and the Portuguese was delighted with the result.
Gers thrashed Hamilton 4-0 at Ibrox thanks to goals from Emerson Hyndman, veteran defender Clint Hill, a Martyn Waghorn penalty and a strike from captain Lee Wallace.
Caixinha says he will not underestimate a winning start to his new job but insists there is still work to do.
"'I want you to enjoy' was my first statement to the players today. If you are here and anxious to do things, they are not going to work," he said.
"[I said] 'I want you to be happy, I want you to enjoy'. I want our team to play like they are kids; kids love to play football. All the professionals start as kids dreaming one day to be in this position.
"Now they are in this position they need to enjoy it the same. They did that and I am very pleased. I am very happy."
Caixinha was named Gers manager on March 11, after Mark Warburton left the club to join Nottingham Forest, and the Portuguese was happy with just four days of preparation.
He said: "We have had just four days to work but I need to be happy with the attitude, the pace, the quality of work as a team and, of course, I need to be happy to start with a win because, if you want a winning culture and a winning mentality, the first step is always important.
"We still have a lot of work in-front of us, and still have a lot of things to keep working on. But I am very happy with the work the players did today on the pitch."
