St Johnstone goalkeeper Zander Clark has signed a two-year extension to his existing contract, securing his future at McDiarmid Park until 2020.

The 24-year-old, who has been with the club since 2008, has played all but seven of their first-team games this season.

He has earned fine reviews for his performances between the sticks, although he was replaced at half-time in last Saturday's win at Motherwell due to a hip injury.

"I'm delighted to get this done," Clark told the club's official website. "The club has been good to me and I'm grateful to have this sort of security and peace of mind.

"This season has far exceeded my expectations. I had hoped to try and get into the team but to have managed 30 starts is very pleasing for me but I'm taking nothing for granted.
