The 22-year-old's impressive campaign has prompted Walter Smith to offer him a long-term contract and he is thrilled to be staying.
"I'm delighted to have signed this new contract and I'm just looking forward to the new season now," Hutton told the club's official website.
"We've been in talks with the club for a wee while now so I'm glad it's done and out of the way and I can now concentrate on the football side of things."
