Rangers boss Walter Smith has revealed that Stevie Smith and Andy Webster are ready to make a return to the first team after recovering from long-term injuries.
The pair are expected to be named in the squad for the visit of Aberdeen on Saturday and could be handed a place on the bench.
They have both been back in reserve-team action for over a month, but are now ready to hand Smith a welcome boost as the season enters its final stages.
"They are effectively fit and ready to be involved again and we are very pleased from that point of view," Smith told the club's official website.
"In the situations the players have found themselves in, we have felt for them as they have wanted to play.
"They have both had a couple of injuries which have taken an awful long time to settle down and there has been a lot of frustration for them.
"But we are hopeful the two are now over the worst of their problems and that they can continue their careers.
"They have both done very well in terms of the way they have handled their situations and it is good to have them back."
Smith's side have won their last 10 league games in a row and currently sit four points clear at the top of the SPL.
Despite their impressive form, and the problems currently afflicting Aberdeen, the Gers boss is refusing to take this weekend's game for granted and has warned his players against complacency.
"Our good run has been necessary for the sake of keeping us at the top of the league because Celtic have shown the same level of consistency as ourselves," he said.
"We are under a good kind of pressure just now after the run of results we had last season, which wasn't so nice, but we have to keep going.
"Aberdeen had a bit of disruption and lost key players during the January transfer window but they were playing as well as anybody in the league before then.
"They have never been short of determination and spirit and I am sure they will show that again on Saturday."
