Rangers striker Steven Naismith faces up to a year on the sidelines following a knee operation.
Naismith suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury during last month's Scottish Cup semi-final against St Johnstone.
The former Kilmarnock ace has undergone surgery and Gers boss Walter Smith will have to make do without him until 2009.
Chris Burke joins Naismith on the sidelines after going under the knife with his ankle injury.
Winger Burke also picked up the injury in the St Johnstone clash after being caught by Kevin Rutkiewicz.
Burke is likely to be out of action for between four and six months following the surgery.
