Merouane Zemmama insists his future remains at Hibernian despite recent controversies.
The Moroccan playmaker is currently on loan at United Arab Emirates outfit Al Shaab after his pregnant wife was refused entrance into Britain due to being just 17-years-old.
However, having enjoyed two successful seasons in Scotland prior to handing in a loan request, he remains hopeful of returning to Easter Road.
His deal in the UAE will finish after his wife has become eligible for entry into the United Kingdom, while he also has reason to be celebrating on the field after being handed his first international cap for his country.
A dispute regarding his 2006 switch to Hibs had seen him banned by the Moroccan Football Federation but, with the suspension lifted, he made a goalscoring debut during a 4-1 victory over Mauritania at the weekend.

That win helped Morocco progress to the next round of qualifiers for both the 2010 World Cup and African Nations Cup, while proving to Zemmama that he has the capabilities to continue playing at the top level in Europe.
"I am very happy with this debut," said the 25-year-old.
"It was magical and I am very happy to have found a solution to the controversy which surrounded my move to Scotland.
"My dream has always been to play for the national side.
"I have not spoken with anyone at Hibernian yet regarding a return to the Scottish Premier League, but I believe I am ready to play in Europe again."
