Stephen McManus has revealed that Celtic's priority for this season is winning a fourth straight Scottish Premier League title.
Celtic are also aiming to advance further in the UEFA Champions League than ever before and McManus believes Gordon Strachan now has a stronger squad at his disposal to compete on two fronts.
However, the defender believes Strachan should prioritise Celtic's defence of their title and focus further on winning the Co-operative Insurance Cup.
"The SPL is the priority - and while the Champions League might be more glamorous, I know I can speak for everyone when I say that we want to go all the way in the League Cup too," McManus told Celtic View.
"That was the first trophy we won under the manager in 2006, but since then we haven't had the best of times in the League Cup. It would be good to change that this season."
Celtic must play 17 games before the end of the year but McManus is confident that Strachan's rotation policy will pay dividends.
"It's at these times in a season that the big squad is invaluable, and I think the manager knows that he has quality players in every position," he said.
"I think this is the strongest squad I've ever been involved in at Celtic. The gaffer will look at every player and will be using them all over the next few weeks."
