Hungary international out of contract in summer

Hannover are determined to retain the services of Hungary international Szabolcs Huszti until the end of the season. The talented midfielder has been linked with a number of clubs, with Celtic believed to be leading the race to secure his signature. But the Bundesliga outfit, who are only four points above the drop zone going into the winter break, are eager to retain the playmaker's services. Huszti is out of contract at the end of the campaign and has already rejected the offer of an extension, but the club would prefer to see him leave on a free transfer in the summer than lose one of their key men now. Hannover sporting director Christian Hostetter told the Daily Record: "He is free to speak to clubs in January but it is our opinion not to sell him in the winter. "With our situation, it is impossible for us to let him go to another club at this time."
