Rangers duo Nacho Novo and Lee McCulloch look set to recover in time for next month's Co-operative Insurance Cup final.
Novo is making strong progress from his ankle injury picked up at the end of January and is expected to return to training this week.
While McCulloch, who recently underwent a scan to determine a minor tear in his calf, should be fit enough to play at Hampden.
Gers assistant manager Ally McCoist admits he is looking forward to welcoming the pair back to training.
"I was getting the wee cheesy grin from Nacho today and he's back out running, which is great to see," McCoist told the club's official website.
"He is a smashing lad with an infectious personality and he's one of those boys who just wants to train and play.
"Nacho is somebody you don't like to have inside being a nuisance in the gymnasium as you'd far rather have him out on the park making a contribution."
With a cup final date still to come and a title challenge to maintain, Rangers can ill afford to have key players injured at this stage in the season.
McCoist admits the news will be a massive boost to the players, with the current league leaders still in contention for two bouts of silverware.
"Everybody will be delighted to hear Nacho is not far away from a return now and big Lee (McCulloch) is the same," he added.
"He has a very minimal tear in his calf but I'd hope he'll be back in full training in a week to 10 days.
"Both lads are dying to get back playing for Rangers again. They'll have high hopes of being in the squad for the final, if not before then."
