Gordon Strachan reveals Stephen McManus, Barry Robson and Mark Wilson will miss the title run-in.

Injured trio McManus, Robson and Wilson to miss rest of season

Gordon Strachan has confirmed that Celtic will be without injured trio Stephen McManus, Barry Robson and Mark Wilson for the rest of the season. The news will come as a massive blow to Hoops fans with the title race expected to go right down to the wire. Celtic currently sit top of the SPL on goal difference after Rangers failed to build on their Old Firm success at the weekend by drawing 1-1 with Hibernian on Wednesday. Captain McManus underwent exploratory surgery on his knee last week while fellow defender Wilson has still not recovered from an operation on his pelvis and a hernia. Midfielder Robson sat on the bench against Rangers on Saturday following a groin problem but he has now suffered a setback.

Injury blow

"This is what we've got now," Strachan told the Evening Times prior to Sunday's trip to Hibernian. "I think Robbo, Willo and Mick, we won't see them until next season now. Of course we would like to have all of our players available. "But we'll go with what we have and I'm not too concerned when I look at my bench in midweek and remember I have had to leave out two good players in Koki Mizuno and Paddy McCourt."
