Celtic have been boosted by the news that midfield duo Shunsuke Nakamura and Scott Brown should be available to face Hearts on Sunday.
The Hoops handed over the title initiative last weekend when they drew 0-0 at Hibernian meaning they now sit two points behind Rangers at the top of the table going into the last round of fixtures this weekend.
Nakamura - who is leaving the club in the summer - has been having pain-killing injections in a troublesome groin for the past month and he is determined to get through the must-win Hearts clash.
"I will do my best, everything I can do, to be ready for the final match against Hearts," Nakamura told the Daily Record.
A lot of pain
"I still have a lot of pain in my groin and I will have to take tablets all week to make sure that I can play for as long as possible.
"I'm desperate to play in the game because it is such a huge match for Celtic."
Meanwhile, Brown hobbled off against Hibs with an ongoing ankle problem but initial fears that the Scottish Player of the Year needed surgery have been quashed by Hoops coach Neil Lennon.
Lennon insists that Brown will be given as much time off training as is needed to get him patched up and available for Sunday.
"Scott should be okay for the weekend but he won't do a lot this week," he told Celtic TV.
"He's had an ongoing ankle problem which he had been getting through okay but he struggled a bit in the last 20 minutes on Sunday.
"It wasn't his day but hopefully after a week's rest he should be okay. I wouldn't have thought it would go as far as an operation - but he needs a rest."
