Hibs ace keen to reach three figures

Hibernian striker Derek Riordan is setting himself the target of netting 100 SPL goals by the end of the season. Riordan's winner in Tuesday's 2-1 win over strugglers Hamilton means he has now plundered 94 top-flight goals, making him the SPL's third highest scorer of all time. However, Riordan, who had a spell with Celtic, hopes to net another six between now and the summer, meaning he will have amassed a whopping 100 goals. Hibs tackle St Johnstone on Saturday and the league's in-form side will be looking for the three-point haul that could see them climb as high as seventh in the table.

Goals

"I'd love to hit 100 SPL goals for Hibernian by the end of the season. I wasn't aware that I'm now third on the SPL all-time top scorers' list with the goal, but I do know that now and that's good," he told the club's official website. "I want to score as many goals as I can. I can have the best game of my life, but if I don't score then I'm not happy - I prefer scoring. "There's no reason why we can't go to St Johnstone and win on Saturday; confidence is high, but it's a tough place to go. "We just have to concentrate to try to get into that top six and have a final Edinburgh derby."
