Danes deciding on whether to take Celtic defender permanently

FC Copenhagen are mulling over whether to sign Celtic defender Jos Hooiveld on a permanent deal. The 28-year-old Dutchman joined Copenhagen in January on a loan deal that runs until the summer. There was a clause in the contract allowing the Danish champions to sign Hooiveld for a fixed sum should they wish to make the move permanent. Copenhagen may lose their full-backs in the summer and Hooiveld's agent, Alex Kroes, has confirmed that Copenhagen are weighing up their defensive options before making a final decision. "I think that FCK will wait until the league has ended because they have loads of time," he told Bold.dk. "It is up to them because Jos is happy to be at the club. He wants to stay. "But I can understand that they chose to wait as long as possible." Hooiveld made a £1.4million move from Swedish side AIK to Celtic in January 2010 but made just nine appearances for the Scottish giants before being loaned out to Copenhagen.
