Killie midfielder likely to be out until New Year with hamstring injury

Kilmarnock midfielder Danny Buijs is facing another spell on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury against Rangers. The 29-year-old picked up the problem during the early stages of Sunday's 1-0 win over the SPL leaders and could be out for six weeks. Buijs has already endured a similar lay-off this season with a hamstring injury and Killie boss Kenny Shiels acknowledged it was a blow to lose the Dutchman. Shiels said in the Scottish Daily Express: "Danny Buijs is an important player for us but is going to be out for between four to six weeks. "He's suffered a hamstring pull and it's a blow to lose him because he's been doing well for us in midfield since he came back from injury." Former Feyenoord man Buijs linked up with Kilmarnock in the summer from Eredivisie side ADO Den Haag.
