St Mirren defender enjoys working under manager Lennon

St Mirren defender David van Zanten admits he is 'over the moon' to have signed a one-year contract extension with the club. Van Zanten's deal was due to expire at the end of the season and the 29-year-old is happy to be staying for at least a further 12 months. The right-back returned for his second spell with the Buddies in 2010 and he is enjoying playing for Danny Lennon's side. "I'm over the moon to get my immediate future sorted out and delighted to still be with St Mirren," Van Zanten told the club's official website. "I've been here at St Mirren for seven years out of the last nine and to get a chance to put at least another year on to that is a great feeling. "This season I've been playing regularly and more importantly I've been really enjoying my football here and enjoying the way the team plays. "I like the way manager Danny Lennon and Tommy Craig go about their business and how they like to play the game which I'm fully behind."
