The Honduran midfielder is attracting interest from sides across Europe and from the American MLS.
Claros has been in Scotland since January 2012, but is edging towards the end of his current loan agreement.
His parent club Motagua are prepared to give Hibs until the end of the winter transfer window to put a permanent deal in place, but admit they will be considering offers from elsewhere.
Motagua president Julio Gutierrez said: "Jorge has offers from the MLS and other European clubs. We will look at the offers and his options.
"He has indicated he wants to stay in Europe but Hibs have only a few days left until the transfer window closes and they must do something soon.
"If not, he either returns to us or goes elsewhere."
On Hibs' chances of putting a deal in place, manager Pat Fenlon said: "We've been working hard on this deal for three or four weeks. I don't think any delays have anything to do with us, without giving too much away.
"We hope the situation will be resolved within 24 hours. We're in a position to sign Jorge on a permanent deal, so long as it doesn't cost us.
"We're also looking at other players to fill his position if he goes."
