Wright, who scored an own goal in his side's 4-0 drubbing, is alleged to have breached Rule 200 of the disciplinary rules by striking Hoops defender Mikael Lustig with his elbow.
The Swede reacted furiously to the clash and had to be restrained by team-mates before being booked by referee Alan Muir for his continued protest.
Former Kilmarnock defender Wright, who has been offered a two-match ban, has until 3pm on Wednesday, May 15 to respond to the notice of complaint.
If he decides to accept the punishment he will be suspended for the final game of the campaign against Motherwell this weekend and the first match of next season.
