Celtic maintained their seven point advantage at the top of the Premiership but they were made to grind out their 1-0 win over Hibernian.
Teemu Pukki's third goal for the club proved to be enough but Hibs spurned a number of chances to level in a nervy second period for the home support.
Pukki had tried to get on the end of Emilio Izaguirre's early cross and Kris Commons saw his shot blocked for a corner as Celtic forced the early pace.
When Scott Brown threaded the ball through to Joe Ledley down the left, the Welshman's first-time cross was finished in style by Pukki (29).
Anthony Stokes was denied Celtic's second goal, Ben Williams producing a fine save to keep out his 25-yard left-foot effort.
Hibs tested Fraser Forster for the first time just before the break, the keeper showing his dexterity to keep out Scott Robertson's low drive.
Danny Handling had the first attempt of the second half but Williams needed to show his mettle once more to deny the predatory Stokes.
Hibs came close when Liam Craig saw his shot hit the post and Izaguirre denied Paul Cairney on the follow up.
The visitors threatened again when Adam Matthews clearance fell for Abdellah Zoubir but he could not take the chance as Celtic held out for the win.
