Saints were denied a place in the final when they were thrashed 4-0 by Aberdeen at Tynecastle last weekend.
But they now have a second chance of cup glory as they face League One minnows Forfar at Station Park in the fifth round of the William Hill Scottish Cup on Saturday.
Wright said: "There's been no negative reaction to the Aberdeen game. They were obviously disappointed after the game and that probably lasted well into Sunday. But once training started everything was good.
"I didn't expect it to be any other way because in football you learn you need to move on. You can't stand still, you can't look back. You need to move on to the next game and that's what we have been doing this week.
"We've got another cup game and are one step away from getting to another quarter-final, which gives us the chance to get back into a second semi if we can win that. That's the added incentive."
