Dundee have signed Cardiff City striker Rhys Healey on loan until January, while Simon Ferry has left the club by mutual consent.

Healey, who scored twice for Cardiff U21s on Monday, came through the youth ranks at Welsh Premier Division side Gap Connah's Quay.

His form with Quay earned him a move to Cardiff where he made his debut in 2014 against Chelsea.

Last season he went on loan to Colchester where he scored four goals.

Healey has netted five times in the first four games for Cardiff's Development team this season, including the brace in a 3-0 win over Brentford on Monday.

Meanwhile, midfielder Ferry has left Dundee having joined the club in the summer of 2014.

He played 22 times in his first season but featured only once this season, on the opening day against Kilmarnock.
