Celtic came from behind to beat Motherwell 2-1 and progress to the final.Celtic came from behind to beat Motherwell 2-1 at Hampden Park and progress to the CIS Insurance Cup final.
Motherwell made the perfect start, Richie Foran seizing on a mistake from goalkeeper Artur Boruc to head them in front (11). The Poland international flapped at Kevin McBride's high cross into the box, giving Foran the simple task of nodding into an empty net.
The goal was no more than Motherwell deserved, but the Scottish Premier League leaders soon responded, Maciej Zurawski latching onto Shaun Maloney's incisive pass and finishing with aplomb (29).
'Well continued to control the game, and Scott McDonald twice came close to restoring their lead, only to be denied both times by Boruc, who partially made amends for his earlier howler.
Celtic came out much stronger in the second half, and Shunsuke Nakamura tested Graeme Smith with a swerving effort from distance.
Just as it seemed the tie would not be resolved in 90 minutes, Martyn Corrigan put his side in all sorts of trouble with an awful back pass which Smith was forced to pick up.
From just 10 yards out Maloney made no mistake, smashing the ball into the net after being teed up by John Hartson (86), and sending Celtic into the final.
