SPL round-up

Champions Celtic completed their SPL campaign with a 2-2 draw at Aberdeen.

The Bhoys could have been excused for being in holiday mood, but they signalled their intent when John Hartson put them ahead after just five minutes.

Football of the Year Shaun Maloney then doubled their advantage just after the hour and Celtic looked on their way to collecting the spoils.

However, The Dons had other ideas and young striker John Stewart - a half time substitute - struck two goals (69 & 72) in three minutes to give Aberdeen a point.

The Dons' point, though, was not enough to keep hold of fifth spot as Kilmarnock beat Hibernian 3-1 at Rugby Park - which lifts them above The Granite City outfit.

Hibs looked in fine fettle just five minutes in when Steven Fletcher fired home, but things took a turn for the worst just after the interval when David Murphy saw red for a deliberate handball - and Steven Naismith tucked away the resulting penalty.

Killie took charge thereafter as Gordon Greer (72) and Colin Nish (75) registered. Hibs' day went from bad to worse late on when goalkeeper Zbigniew Malkowski was sent off.

Hearts had already made sure their game with Rangers was meaningless and it was a good job as they went down 2-0, with SPL top-scorer Kris Boyd adding two more to his tally.
