Rogic has struggled to make an impact at Celtic Park since joining the Scottish giants in January, and Postecoglou wants the talented 20 year-old to switch clubs in the short-term to boost his World Cup chances.
J-League club Vegalta are reportedly among the frontrunners to sign Rogic on loan given the midfielder used to work under current boss Graham Arnold at Central Coast Mariners.
"I think that would be fantastic," Postecoglou told Fox Football Podcast on the idea of the move.
"Arnie knows him, we know Arnie is a fantastic coach... he's got the best out of Tommy and the J-League is a strong competition. I don't see why not.
"It's a World Cup year. There wouldn't be a player on the planet who is going to a World Cup who wouldn't for the next six months think the best move for him would be to play regular football."
A regular starter under Arnold at Central Coast, Rogic has only managed 11 games for Celtic since joining the club.
