Stokes set Celtic on the way to their third successive championship after just four minutes, and he added a second in the dying stages of the game, with Liam Henderson, Stefan Johansen and Kris Commons also on target in Glasgow's premier derby fixture.
"Next year, obviously, we're hoping to look forward to a good run in Europe and obviously in the cup competitions we want to do better," the Ireland international said.
"But take nothing away from the league form this year. It's been absolutely outstanding and I think we fully deserve the title."
Henderson scored his first goal for the Hoops in just his fourth game, and he was quick to deflect the praise to his team-mates.
"It's a great feeling to score the goal but all the hard work was done at the start of the season and all the way through," Henderson said.
"Obviously it's great to be part of the night that they win the league so it's a great feeling for me."
Johansen became a champion for the second time in sixth months after winning the Norwegian top flight with Stromsgodset before moving to Glasgow in January.
And he has now set his sights on finishing the season with a flourish before moving on to bigger and better things in his first full season at Celtic Park.
"It's fantastic," Johansen said. "It's a thing you dream about. That's why I came to Celtic because it's a winning club.
"Now we want on keep on winning in the rest of the games because we want to reach 100 points.
"You want to win everything you are in and sometimes it's difficult but that is what we are going to try to do with Celtic."
