After another engrossing and incident-packed Premiership weekend there was also plenty to keep us interested in the last few days as Derek McInnes announced his decision to stay at Aberdeen.

Rangers announced Graeme Murty will take charge of the first team until "at least the end of the year" following McInnes' decision, six weeks on after Pedro Caixinha's Ibrox departure.

McInnes and Murty weren't the only managers in the spotlight this week as the Scottish FA confirmed they would not punish either Craig Levein or Austin MacPhee after both were sent to the stand against Hamilton Accies.

MacPhee was involved in a tussle with Darian MacKinnon before a melee broke out between dugouts, with Levein being sent to the stand earlier in the game by referee Bobby Madden.

Ryan Jack also learned his red card against Aberdeen had been upheld, which means he will miss Rangers' next three matches after his fourth red card of the season (two of which have been rescinded on appeal).

And Hamilton Accies picked up a double in the monthly awards as Martin Canning and David Templeton won the Ladbrokes Premiership manager and player of the month respectively.

Opta Stats

Dundee have failed to win any of the previous 16 top-flight meetings between the two sides (D5 L11), losing each of the last seven.

Indeed, Aberdeen have not lost to Dundee in a Scottish Premiership tie since December 2004. Since then, this match-up has seen Aberdeen score 36 goals while conceding just 12 themselves (16 games).

After losing five consecutive league games, Dundee are now unbeaten in their last three (W2 D1). They last went four league games unbeaten in February.

Aberdeen have lost three of their last four Scottish Premiership matches (W1), including each of their last two. They have not lost three in a row in the competition since May 2016 - the final three games of the 2015/16 league campaign.

Dundee's Mark O'Hara has scored three goals in his last two league games. He has never scored in three consecutive league matches.

Hamilton Accies v St Johnstone - Saturday 3pm

Opta Stats

Hamilton have won just one of their last eight Scottish Premiership ties against St Johnstone (D3 L4), though they were victorious the last time they faced off in this competition at the SuperSeal Stadium.

The Saints have managed just one win from their last six away to The Accies in this competition (D3 L2), although they have never lost twice in a row there.

After losing six games on the bounce, Hamilton have not lost any of their following six (W2 D4). They last went longer without a loss in this competition in October 2014 (nine games).

St Johnstone have won just one of their last eight Scottish Premiership fixtures (D1 L6), though that win came in their latest away match against Hibernian last month.

Only Celtic (nine) have scored more goals in the final 15 minutes of league games this season than Hamilton (seven), while no side has conceded more goals in the final 15 minutes of league games this season than St Johnstone (seven).

Hearts v Motherwell - Saturday 3pm

Andy Walker
Hearts 1-2 Motherwell

The Steelmen have lost each of their last three at Tynecastle, failing to net a single goal while conceding 11 themselves. They have never failed to score in four consecutive away games at Hearts in this competition.

The Jam Tarts have failed to win their previous six Scottish Premiership ties (D3 L3), despite the latest five all being played on home soil. Each of their latest three were draws - they had not drawn three successive home Scottish Premiership games since November 1999, and have never drawn four in a row at Tynecastle in this competition.

Motherwell have won three of their last five league ties away from home (L2). They have managed to get on the scoresheet in nine consecutive away games in this competition - they haven't scored in 10 consecutive league away games since December 2006.

Motherwell are the only Scottish Premiership side yet to concede a header this season, while only Rangers (8) have scored more headed goals than themselves (7).

Kilmarnock v Partick Thistle - Saturday 3pm

Andy Walker
Kilmarnock 1-2 Partick Thistle

Key Player - Adam Barton
I saw Thistle last weekend against Hibs and thought they were unlucky not to score, Barton has a big part to play to ensure they're not detached at the foot of the table.

The Jags have not won any of their last 12 away games in the Scottish Premiership (D6 L6), their longest such run in the competition since April 2004 (17 games).

Killie's Kris Boyd has scored in two of his last three league games against Partick, including the opener last time out in October.
